The Joan Fortune Campus opened its doors in 1997. Set amongst historic grand oak trees, the campus is located on 22nd Avenue South in St. Petersburg's "midtown."

The school initially opened to boys in grades 5 and 6 and added a new class each year until the campus held boys in grades 5 through 8. In the summer of 2000, the St. Petersburg campus opened to girls in grade 5. The campus now serves a full complement of boys and girls in grades 5 through 8.

Academy Prep's impact is most evident through the success of its graduates. Founded in a neighborhood where less than 37% of students were graduating from high school, 95% of Academy Prep's graduates are currently in high school, college, or have already begun successful careers.

To inspire and empower students qualifying for need-based scholarships to be future community leaders through a rigorous middle school program coupled with ongoing graduate support.

ASAP provides a myriad of support services and referrals for the HIV/AIDS community. Service in Pinellas County include: case management, food and personal needs pantry, children’s program, prevention, testing and counseling, monthly client dinners, annual client retreat, limited emergency financial assistance and much more. In Pinellas and surrounding counties, our CDC funded Suncoast Project provides testing and prevention education for the community (in-house and mobile unit).

The PURPOSE of the American Autism Foundation, Incorporated is to raise awareness and funding to create a network of trained professionals and para professionals available to families in rural as well as urban regions to directly help individuals, siblings, and parents.   We will help fund educational scholarships to individuals seeking a career in Home Healthcare for individuals with special needs.   These scholarships will help pay for online training from our fully accredited schools and universities worldwide.

The American Autism Foundation will launch “The AUTISM ANGEL NETWORK” to begin implementing help for families in America in early 2010.   These specialists will be trained in areas of special needs education, nutrition, exercise, and behavioral techniques.   If you seek a career in this specialized field, contact AAFI for further information.    

Stress, fatigue, and increased health problems by family caregivers break down the family unit and everyone suffers. Sometimes, the family care-giver just needs an afternoon, a day, or a vacation away from their daily routine to recharge their batteries without feeling guilty that they are neglecting their loved one. The Autism Angel Network will help eliminate some of this family stress.

We are currently looking for Road to Recovery drivers. The Road to Recovery program - volunteer drivers may transport people with cancer to/from treatment appointments. The Anthony Telesca Foundation is a non-profit organization working with teens through public safety and law enforcement officials, high school districts, and community business leaders to help educate and encourage teenagers to drive safe. The Anthony Telesca Foundation\'s vision is to help prevent reckless teenage driving and thus save lives. We provide teenage drivers with information and host events to drive home the message that Teens who drive safe, STAY ALIVE.

The foundation was created in memory of Anthony Telesca who died senselessly, at the young age of 16, a passenger in a one-car accident. His high school friend was driving recklessly, and Anthony paid the ultimate price; his life. This tragic accident is a never-ending nightmare for all concerned. Educating teens to drive safely, is our only hope to try to prevent these tragic and senseless accidents from happening.

The Arthritis Research Institute of America (ARIA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been conducting osteoarthritis research in Clearwater, FL for more than two decades. Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships with measurable impact. 

The MODEL Mentoring Program is a one-to-one community based mentoring program for children between the ages of 4-18 who have a parent incarcerated in a federal or state prison. Each youth is matched with a mentor who can provide guidance and support to help each child develop to their fullest potential.

Mentoring pairs can go out to the park, go see a movie, read a book, play a sport, or do tons of other fun activities! The most important part of the program is having fun and being a role model!

Volunteer with children in our Homework Helpers program, work outdoors at our nature park and community cleanups, assist with special events, community events and athletic tournaments and more! Something for everyone! School credit validated! Groups welcome!

Volunteering for Friends of Strays is a fulfilling experience according to those who do so. GRACE Chapel Is a not for profit Homeless day drop in center. We are unapologetically a christian organization the operates strictly as a volunteer basis. There are no paid employees. The Green Armada supports every effort, no matter how small, to rid the world’s waters of debris. Every piece of garbage removed from the waterways is a step in the right direction and there are numerous organizations around the world that help with occasional cleanup efforts but the problem cannot be stopped without education. The Guardian ad Litem Program is able to represent thousands of children with the help of volunteers. Program volunteers donate countless hours to the children they represent. The unique perspective of volunteers, and their often creative solutions, are highly valued by dependency court judges.

HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need.

Hands on Tampa Bay makes volunteering easy by offering one-time, short-term projects. You only need to sign up for one occurrence of a project. Later, if you become interested, you can choose to volunteer at the same project several times a month.

The Jeannie Bornemann Foundation was established in memory of our daughter, who died 2 years ago aged 18 in need of a second heart transplant. When Jeannie died we could not understand why God would take her, as she brought such joy to the world. Well, we began to think that maybe something good could come from this tragedy and so we decided to raise monies for kids just like Jeannie - sick and disabled children. Jeannie loved the arts, and always carried a song in her heart. She brought a sweet joy to everyone who knew her. This foundation will raise money for scholarships for kids just like Jeannie to take art, music, drama, dance - anything to do with the arts.

We need volunteers to walk the dogs, play with the cats, foster animals in their homes, clean, assist with the MAC, work at the spay/neuter clinic, and help with special events. We always need caring people who want to make a real difference in an animal\'s life and in the community.
